1. DIRECT DEBIT. A direct debit form must be filled out. Direct Debit Per Term – Fees will be drawn on the 1st day of February, May, August and October for the full 10 week term. Direct Debit Monthly – You will be debited on the 1st of every month from February – November 4 terms of fees, privates (if applicable) and concert fee will be added up and divided by 10 payments. All other costs will be invoiced separately and will be debited within 48 hrs from date on invoice.
2. If using a credit card, a fee of 2.5% for Visa and MasterCard and 4.4% for Amex and Diners will apply. If a payment fails, the payment will be redrawn within 2 business days. If your payment declined once, you will incur a $2.20 fee charged by EziDebit. If additional declines are made, this fee will increase to $21.90 per failed payment.
3. Once an invoice has been issued we will not make changes or refund payments due to change of mind. All invoices must be paid in FULL. If you are going to be absent for more than 4 weeks of a term we must be notified in writing via email before the new term invoice has been issued.
4. To discontinue classes at IDA a written letter must be emailed to info@imagedanceacademy.com.au before the end of term to stop the next direct debit payment. Payments will continue if the office is not notified in writing. If any person decides to discontinue classes midterm, payments will continue to be debited until the end of term.
5. Fees are averaged out over four terms regardless of weeks and public holidays.
6. The main form of contact will be Via Email, the correct email must be on file at all times. News and notices will go up on our Facebook page and website for your reference.
7. No parent is to enter any class without permission from the teacher of that class. If you would like to speak with the teacher or you have a message for your child, please speak to the office manager, they will pass on the message.
8. All students must be in full uniform at all times, the correct shoes and attire must be worn to each class. Hair must be neat and tidy at all times and a bun must be worn for all ballet classes. Full uniform requirements are detailed in the student handbook.
9. The principal/Manager of Image Dance Academy is not liable for personal injuries, accidents, to and from the studio, loss of or damage to personal property. Students enter at their own risk, this includes all persons coming and going from the ‘Dance school studio’. Please inform principal/Manager of any physical limitation you may have. Image Dance Academy cannot dispense any medication. “Image Dance Academy’ reserves the right to remove any student causing harm to equipment or property / or persons at the Dance school studio.
10. Image Dance Academy reserves the right to film and photograph entrants for records and any future promotions of Image Dance Academy.
11. While participants are at the studio they must adhere at all times to the direction of the Image Dance Academy Coordinator. The consumption of alcohol or other drugs is prohibited at this studio.
12. The student and parent handbook must be read and the IDA Code of conduct adhered to.
13. Please note that all concert withdrawals must be made in writing at least 8 weeks prior to the concert date. If not made, all concert payments and deposits will be forfeited.
14. Active and Creative kids vouchers must be sent via email to accounts@imagedanceacademy.com.au with confirmation of your child’s Date of Birth a minimum of 1 week prior to the months of February, May, August and October in order to be accepted.

At Image Dance Academy we offer a range of classes such as: RAD Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Singing and Acrobatics, Rhythmic Gymnastics and RAD Ballet Exams.

At Image Dance Academy uniform is compulsory for all classes. Our custom-made uniforms are available for purchase via our website. Items are made to order so please keep an eye out for emails regarding order dates.
Hair must always be neat and tidy, and a bun must be worn for all classes. Correct shoes for each dance style must be worn, these can be purchased from Dance Direct or Bloch stores.
Required Uniform for Specified Classes:
Ballet | Tap | Jazz | Contemporary – All students MUST wear a leotard to these classes, fitted or loose shorts can be worn on top.
Hip Hop | Acrobatics | Rhythmic Gymnastics | Musical Theatre – Students are welcome to wear any of the items found on our online store.
If you have or want a second-hand pair of shoes, please join our Facebook ‘Image Dance Academy – Parents & Friends’ Group. This group will give you the opportunity to buy, swap or sell your unwanted shoes with other parents within our community.
Each year costumes are either hired out or bought by the students. A deposit fee of $50 per student is held in your account once concert enrolments have been complete, the $50 deposit will not be drawn from your account unless hired costumes are lost, damaged or not returned prior to the annual concert.
Please note: If you wish to withdraw your child from the concert, you must give a minimum of 8
weeks’ notice before all previous payments (including costume payments) are forfeited.
Exam students must participate in 2 ballet exam classes per week. Students who are entered into ballet exams have a fee which goes directly to the Royal Academy of Dance. This fee depends on the grade’s exam you are sitting. Each exam has a different level and age specification. Students are taught the syllabus and then go for an examination and are marked according to the criteria. Please visit www.rad.org.au for more information.
Eisteddfods are fun, exciting and rewarding. They help to build confidence and performance quality in dance. Our Competition Team is entered into group and solo eisteddfods throughout the year, students must sign a commitment form and audition to be a part of this group.
If students in the Competition team miss more than three lessons in a term, they will be asked to leave the group. If a student is absent in any of the 3 weeks before the competition/eisteddfod they may not be allowed to perform with that group. If students cannot make a certain competition or eisteddfod during the year dates must be noted on the commitment form and Miss Christina must be notified so they can be taken out of that routine.
Each year we hold two fundraisers, we do a Cadbury chocolate and a raffle for the end of year Concert, filled with fabulous prizes. These fundraisers are put towards the school to buy better equipment for our classes.
At Image Dance Academy we have a group of talented and professional teachers each working closely with every one of your children encouraging them to work to their fullest potential. At Image Dance Academy we would like all students to be able to do as many classes as possible, so we have worked hard to put together competitive prices with great packages.
The Unlimited class package is available to all age groups for as little as $88 per week. This package does not include private lessons or Competition Teams.
Fees can be paid DIRECT DEBIT (Monthly/Per term) a Direct Debit form must be filled out for enrolments to be accepted.
Direct Debit Monthly – Four terms of fees (including show group, privates and concert fee) will be added and divided by 10 monthly payments.
Direct Debit Per Term – Total payments for the term will be debited from your account on the 1st day of the month prior to the new term commencing.
Term dates run the same as school terms; fees are balanced over the 4 terms in the year, so they are the same regardless of weeks or public holidays.
We do NOT refund or make changes to invoices; once an invoice has been issued, we will not take responsibility for change of mind or missed classes. If you are going to be away for more than 4 weeks of a term due to a family holiday, we MUST be notified in writing via email at accounts@imagedanceacademy.com.au before the invoice has been issued for that term.
Regarding Concert Payments – If you wish to withdraw your child from the concert, you must give a minimum of 8 weeks’ notice before all previous payments are forfeited

Conditioning Class
Whether you are new to dance or looking to push your limits and advance in any or every style, conditioning and strength training is invaluable and recommended.
This conditioning class will consist of exercises and techniques surrounding body and resistance strength training, flexibility, alignment, stamina and all around ‘dance’ fitness. Students will have fun learning how their bodies work and how to safely challenge themselves to become stronger, fitter and smarter dancers.
Jazz
Jazz is a style which consists of technique, flexibility and fun choreography. This class begins with a warm up and stretches, then a sequence of exercises from the corner of the room or in the centre focusing on turns, leaps, jumps, rolls and many more. The students are taught choreography using a range of old school to modern sounds and music.
Tap
Tap is a class full of energy, great sounds and movement. In this class we teach basic movement in tap shoes up to advanced rhythms and techniques. Rhythm is very important in dance; we encourage students to do tap for this reason.
Mini Movers (4-6 years) RAD Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Dance Tricks
Our Mini Movers Dance class runs for 1.5 hours over this time we cover, RAD ballet (syllabus work), Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre and basic training for dance tricks (forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands etc.).
We work with the RAD syllabus set exercises teaching a range of ballet techniques and postures required for dance, working to build a good foundation on the techniques required.
The Tap and Jazz Component of this class consists of teaching the students basic techniques, building a repertoire of knowledge and understanding on the correct postures, flexibility and strength required behind each movement.
Musical Theatre is a great way to build confidence and stage presence, we use well known songs and musicals to help the students get into a character and perform for each other.
In the dance tricks component of the class we focus on teaching the basics skills of acrobatics helping to build the strength required for tricks such as a forward rolls, cartwheels and handstands).

Competition Teams (Including Rhythmic Gymnastics)
Our Competition Teams class is one that students must audition for.
The team is taught several dances in various styles and are entered into competitions and also perform at different events. Students in the competition team must take part in Ballet and Drama classes.
Tiny Dancers (2-5 years) Ballet, Tap, Jazz
Our Tiny Dancers class consists of 3 dance styles + dance activities: RAD Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. A fun and energetic class full of educational activities.
In the ballet component of the class we work with set exercises from the RAD Syllabus (Pre-primary grade) and expand on these with activities that involve Props like wands, ribbons, crowns and more…
The Tap and Jazz component of the class we focus on basic techniques required for these dance styles, with the use of well known modern music, such as the Wiggles, Hi5, trolls just to name a few… Props and instruments are also used during the tap and jazz.
Hip-hop
Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. Hip Hop includes a wide range of styles, primarily Breakdance. Our Hip Hop classes consist of learning a wide range of “Hip Hop’ steps and learning routines of all different hip hop styles, such as Funk, Street dance.
Adult Classes (for ages 18 years and over) – Hip Hop
Our adults Hip Hop class is an open class for all levels beginner-advanced, the class consists of a head to toe warm up. The class is then taught a routine choreographed to new and old music and concludes with a cool down. We all love to dance and what better way to learn how to shake like Beyoncé, or twerk like Nicki Minaj.
Acrobatics
Acrobatics is the performance of extraordinary human feats of balance, agility, and motor coordination. This class is based on strengthening the students into being able to do tricks such as cartwheels, rolls and flips. We also focus on flexibility and encourage students to not only work towards being strong but have that range of ,movement through flexibility to execute each step/trick.
Contemporary
Contemporary Incorporates a range of dance styles, closely related to Modern dance, ballet and jazz. Contemporary dance employs contract-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation characteristics of modern dance.

Tap

Adult Classes (for ages 16 years and over) – Booty/Core Blast
Our Booty/Core Blast class is a 45min lower body burner. This class consists of squats, lunges and all sorts of movements used to sculpt the lower half of your body. Resistance bands and steps are used to increase the intensity and challenge each movement.
Show Group
Our show Group class is one that students must audition for.
Our show group is taught several dances in various styles and are entered into competitions and also perform at different events. Students in the Show Group must take part in Ballet and Drama classes.
Private Singing
We off Private singing to students who would like to progress in their vocals. Each student is coached and encouraged to work on their individual talent. Students who do private singing are given the opportunity to do singing eisteddfods.
Things you will learn within this private are Pitch Control. Increasing Vocal Range, Correct Breathing & Posture Technique, Expressive Singing, Performance and Confidence for Stage, Style, Tone & Dynamic Techniques, And Correct Dialect for Singing, Microphone Technique.
Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic Gymnastics is a beautiful sport that combines the grace of ballet, the strength behind gymnastics and expressive movement of dance, with the skilful mastery of apparatus including the ball, rope, ribbon, hoop or clubs. Rhythmic gymnastics develops strength, balance, flexibility and overall fitness.
Musical Theatre
This class consists of learning to trust your own creativity and work as a group to create new stories, using improvisation skills, props, voice, movement and character to create short scenes.
We also work on developing the student’s comedic skills as they experience the essentials of acting through improvisation, draw inspiration from ordinary characters in extraordinary circumstances where the stakes are high and the clock is ticking.
A fun class for all age groups, helping student develop confidence and performance quality.
Jazz

RAD Ballet (Grades 1 – Advanced 2)
Ballet is one of the most important styles in dance, it is the foundation of all dance allowing students to have a adequate knowledge on correct core strength, technique and body posture. We recommend that all students take part in at least 1 ballet class per week.
Students who do exams must attend two RAD ballet classes per week.
Ballet classes run on a Saturday are open to all students, weekly ballet classes are set specifically for those students participating in exams.
Primary Dance
Our Primary Dance class runs for 1.5 hours over this time we cover, half an hour of RAD ballet (syllabus work), half an hour of Tap, and Half an hour of Jazz.
